Working across three councils means there has to be special arrangements in place to support the preparation, delivery and review of the Joint Local Plan. Each Council has their own decision making processes and the Joint Local Plan is adopted separately by each Council.
The Joint Local Plan Team
This team is made up of employees from all three Councils and is responsible for the day to day preparation, monitoring, implementation and review of the Joint Local Plan. The team can be contacted through the get in touch page. (link to ‘get in touch’ section of website)
The Joint Local Plan Partnership Board
Each Council is represented by two democratically elected senior members on the Partnership Board. This Board provides strategic oversight and ensures that each Council influences how the Joint Local Plan is implemented and is involved in key decisions. The Partnership Board meets four times a year with an additional Annual General Meeting held every February that can be viewed online.
